Other Achievements
2014 Lincoln Arts Council Community Supported Art Project. Lincoln, NE
The Community Supported Art program selects nine artists to receive a commission to produce 35 shares. People
pay $325 for a share and receive one piece of work from each artist, which could be music, ceramic, photographs
or letterpress editions of a poem. This program is based on the Community Supported Agriculture model and was
developed by Laura Zabel of Springboard for the Arts in Minneapolis, MN. Lincoln is one of about 30 cities in the US
to have a CSArt program. Said Zabel, “It’s designed for people who aren’t part of the art community, who are
intimidated by going to a gallery. It creates an on ramp to finding out who is making work and it’s about making
relationships between artists and communities, having the experience of meeting artists” https://artscene.org/what_we_do/csart/overview.html
